From the 1st of October GoShift will be known as Simpli.
Over the last couple of years, we have been building products that will support consistency and collaboration across Councils in the building consent space. The journey started with 20+ Councils predominantly in the lower North Island and the top of the South Island. We are now expanding with more Councils from across New Zealand joining Simpli. It is great to have more Councils onboard and we will continue to build on the objectives of Simpli with existing and new Councils.
Our objectives haven’t changed but our opportunities have grown.
-
Improve consistency for Councils and customers
-
Improve customer interactions with councils
-
Reduce the operating costs of consenting
-
Strengthen trust across stakeholders
-
Enable interoperability across regional boundaries
The Online Portal
Over 7000 submission were made to Councils from August 2017 to August 2018 through the portal. We have continued to improve the portal to create consistency for applicants and Councils. Next month release 17 will be implemented and is one of our biggest releases yet. The key focus of release 17 is document management and a full refresh of the site to make the user experience even better.
The QMS
The shared and aligned QMS is a key part of creating consistency. We have started implementation across several Councils, with many more interested to put it in place. This will play a big part in laying a solid foundation for consistency across Councils. Even at this early stage of implementation, many opportunities have been identified to make life that little bit easier for Councils and their customers.
