GoShift won the Transforming Service Delivery Award at the Society of Local Government Managers (SOGLM) Local Government Excellence Awards. It shared the win with Whangarei District Council.
These awards recognise exceptional and innovative local government projects across local government in New Zealand.
The category GoShift jointly won is for “programmes or projects that result in an exceptional service experience through innovative delivery models or the redesign of business processes or practices”.
The achievement follows GoShift winning the Excellence in Innovation Award at the Association of Local Government Information Management 's (ALGIM) annual conference in November last year.
Ross McCarthy, GoShift's strategic and engagement manager, is thrilled with the win.
“What we’re doing really is making the building consents process simpler and faster,” he says. "This award recognises the huge achievements we’ve made in quite a short time.”
Ross says GoShift has proven that councils can work together to make improvements across the sector.
