GoShift monthly update June 2018

Update Graphic 480x310

Our customers continue to make great use of the portal and the ease of access it provides. Our top five customers have made more than 100 submissions each.

A number of customers are now making applications across council boundaries. We have customers making submissions to five and even six different councils through the portal. It's saving them a huge amount of time by using the standardised forms, not having to provide paper copies or to visit the council in person.

The portal’s real time interaction between council and customers is also helping manage RFIs on submissions made to council. 45% of submissions made through the portal have a RFI. Customers are notified of the need for additional information within 15 minutes of the council officer sending the request which significantly speeds up the process.

We continue to work with councils who are keen to start using the portal and aim to have another 10 councils online by June 2019.

We are now busy planning for implementation of the manual.  South Taranaki District Council is first off the blocks and Lindsey (Building Control Manager South Taranaki) is currently customising their version to account for local roles and responsibilities and their specific IT systems.

If you want your council to be added to the implementation plan, please contact Kate.Fox@wcc.govt.nz

We held the first of our QMS and online service workshops in Palmerston North earlier this month.  There was a great turnout from GoShift councils.

It was good to be able to share GoShift plans, describe the potential benefits and work through some of the issues councils may face when implementing GoShift products.

There is another workshop planned in Wellington on Tuesday 10th July.  If you would like to attend, please contact Kate.Fox@wcc.govt.nz.

We have updated the GoShift website to reflect the products GoShift now has available to councils.

The homepage now has information about the online service and the QMS. The Who we are page now includes a list of the councils involved in GoShift – as well as the map. Our latest videos are also included on this page.

MoUs for the 2018/19 financial year have been sent to GoShift council chief executives.

As always, you can keep up to date with what’s happening at GoShift by visiting our website. Thanks for your ongoing support!
